Cornerstone of recovery saved my life, i was in the debts of hell and had lost all hope. I was in jail and made the decision to either get clean or kill myself. I had a small window of time from the moment i got out before i lost the willingness to get clean until i went back to the streets. Jess noel gupton (north carolina outreach) came all the way from knoxville to newport to get me at 2am on like 5 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours. She is a recovery rockstar and such an inspiration in my life. Cornerstone built the solid foundation my recovery still stands on today, i have almost 8 months clean and sober and work at a womens sober living. They gave me a chance to give back, i absolutely recommend this place.

Cornerstone in conjunction with Jess Gupton (one of their most dedicated teammates) not only saved my life once but twice and showed me for the first time that a life of peace and serenity was capable. You will experience the most dedicated and loving staff here. They are all so proud of what they do, and they love helping people through the darkest of times. Cornerstone was the blessing in store for me. For so long I had been trying to figure out what was wrong with me and why I could not beat my battle of addiction. Cornerstone helped me to understand what I was fighting and provided me with the tools to battle the fight . . I found that it's a battle you must first recognize and then understand that it is one you cannot fight alone. The staff were overwhelmingly helpful, truthful and down-to-earth in helping me learn to counterattack my addiction. Today and I am in active recovery and no longer in active addiction. Yesterday I celebrated 90 days of sobriety. I made it. I learned that only 25% get this far. I'm thrilled to be in that number. I asked my higher power to give me what I needed to get it right and it has been done. I'm getting it all back now and I won't stop until I've got it all back. I want to thank the staff and the awesome group of guys that I came to know and bond with on the third floor during my stay. God gives us all different paths to follow in life. Coming to Cornerstone helped to put me back on the right track to life. I am not trying, I'm doing it . Trying is dieing and I had been for too long. I'm getting it done and you can too. This is a true story, my true story and I'd be willing to share it with anyone anytime if they want what I got. Because the only way for me to keep it is to give it away. They are a ok place. If I would ever need it again I would go to a place with a more professional staff. Most of their counselors are other addicts some of which need more counseling themselves and don't need to be in the positions they are in.

Cornerstone did what three other trips to treatment centers didn't even come close to doing. I am clean and sober for four and a half years now and owe it all to Cornerstone. I am a railroader and was at Cornerstone 4 years ago. I just relapsed and I am going back tomorrow for 90 days, Cornerstone was the best thing that happened in my life......I relapse because I did not practice the tools they taught me.......when I left 4 years ago I felt like a new person and actually lost 30 pounds. They really cared about me as a person. ....I am a disable vet and they have special groups for us. I am looking forward to seeing the new building and getting sober again. Alcoholism has ruined my life and Cornerstone is where I need to be right now. Cornerstone is a very good rehab and I was sober and happy for a year after I left.....I just didn't to the foot work and isolated myself then I picked up that first drink and lost another 3 years of my life.

COR is a terrific treatment facility offering residential, intensive outpatient, aftercare, and supported living facilities. Comprehensive introduction to the 12-step recovery model provided a solid foundation in order to begin the journey of recovery from addiction. The strong emphasis on group therapy was an extremely beneficial recovery model for me while in treatment. The supportive, caring and knowledgable staff made my experience, as a whole, a positive one. Mindful meditation, along with physical activity time, weekend excursions, and accudetox were great inclusions in patient's treatment programs. Continuous support from Cornerstone post treatment has been integral to personal recovery.

Son in Rehab here. A life savor. Seen many others young and old. All walks of life. Professionals to just your average housewife. All getting great care and help. Very strict. But that is a must. Detox comes first. Then learning about themselves,Then family learning about that person and there self. And togetherness, love is found again. Wow is the expression. Don't quit. Live. With their help someone lives another day, month, year.years....
