Seems like eons. but I am thinking I was up there about a year ago... Alright I was gonna write something but I'm saving it cause I ran out of steam today. LOL. I was just thinking about you guys lately probably because I got there about this time last year and I recall that lovely weather and night sky off that back patio. GIVE MY REGARDS TO SPADE... !!!!!! (and others ya know who you are) I'll just lay this down in case I get too busy to come back for a while. It's a good place with a good program and they will work with you $$$ to help however they can. If you are talking about quitting substance in a positive, successful, and long term way. This is the place and as good as any there could be. I have been to one other rehab before and heard about some others from people. There's no BS, pretense, or lies going on up there on that mountain. Its some real magical fixin goings on and if ya don't like it then let em know and they just might show ya where yer out of whack and fix ya...Heads do spin from time to time. LOL. Great facility and great staff. Had plenty of time to exercise. They teach you alot about the disease as well as common other diseases that are associated with addictive personalities. They had that acupuncture. If you ever need to talk to anybody they were always there. Highly recommend.

Although my daughter didn't end up going to English Mt due to court restrains I had a wonderful experience with the staff while getting information on their program. They were extremely helpful and understanding of our situation and always willing to answer questions we had.

This place is wonderful......we just finished a family weekend and it was very enlightening. I don't understand the negative reviews given, but mine is far from it. The staff was like family to us and our family member. You have to remember that they are the professionals, we're not! Thank you English Mountain for giving us our loved one back! Nothing but good to say about these people, keep up the great (& inspiring) work that you do! My family and I are very appreciative!

The staff here are amazing. I’m not proud that I’ve been to quite a few different places like this but at least I can say that this is the best place I’ve ever been to. The food is really good too. I mean really really good.

So far I can not say enough good things- I truly have a great impression of this place and Ana Garcia as well as the staff I have met thus far , have went AbOVE and BEYOND to help my fiancé into the facility and encourage him to help get the treatment he desperately needs and have pled for. They have made me personally feel so comforted and apart of this journey with him, I look forward to seeing what he learns from this and the battles he conquers, they are helping him thus far gain tools to build his house of recovery And I can not be more thankful to God for blessing us with this place and the kind souls that are making a difference to not only me but our family. Thank you Ana and to the team helping him move forward in his life ! We are grateful! Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed

On Thanksgiving Eve it's only proper to give thanks to English Mountain Recovery for helping our family fight a hideous disease. I spent enough time at EMR visiting w/ clients, staff and other family members to know that when you walk through those gates, you are walking into the presence of a higher power. Words can't explain how much peace and serenity I felt on that mountain. The staff at EMR don't just treat their clients like family, they get down in the trenches and go to war with them. If you are an addict and truly want to change your life, EMR has the protocol to end your suffering. If you are a loved one of an addict, EMR will give you the education and resources to end the chaos in your life. The staff at EMR from the groundskeeper to the CEO, and I met them all, are some of the most inspiring people I've met in my 48 years of life. I pray for EMR everyday and I will never forget you!

Even though my son's story is not a success, the place is great! They have a wonderful staff and are very easy to work with. Please give them a try!

Good Recovery for those who are completely done and want to make a change.

My name is Scott Burns. I was at EMR around 7 years ago. Honestly, it was a great experience. Staff was amazing, food was great, facilities were spectacular. It reminded me of a summer camp. Though, much nicer. Everything they said they did we actually did do. The staff was always very accommodating and friendly. I've been clean and sober for 7 years now or however long. I admit I do not attend meetings no longer and haven't for around 5 years. But the lessons and knowledge stuck for good. I have very fond memories of this place. For whatever reasons the 3 months I spent here are now cherished in my thoughts. Not sure who is still working there,nor what it's like now. But I'm sure it's only gotten better. These people actually care. I see that it's ran by the same people. So thats a plus.

Our experience with EMR was quite the opposite of Lydia Endel's... My husband received the best of care and loved the food! When he arrived there was a yoga instructor but she moved on during his stay. They brought in an acupuncturist, as well. They went on several hikes, too! There was a great weight room/exercise room, complete with weights, machines, yoga mats, etc. The equine therapy was amazing!! There was even a pool! It was a very structured environment which is exactly what it needs to be! 2 years later, my husband is still happy, clean and sober and has all the tools he needs to stay that way. He still speaks fondly of the staff and maintains friendships with many of the men he received treatment with at EMR, all of whom have remained sober and are leading happy, productive lives. I HIGHLY recommend EMR!!!
